18th Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week2013-09-23T09:00:00-04:002013-09-30T17:00:00-04:00Russian-American Innovation Technology, University Research & Commercialization Conference and Russian-American Life Sciences Innovation Conference, the key events of the 18th Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week, will take place on September 27 & 30, 2013 in Philadelphia.   The 18th Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT)  marks the 10th anniversary of RANIT.  It will take place on September 23-30, 2013 and November 18-22, 2013.  RANIT will include discussions with business leaders, policymakers, financiers, and technology corporations to promote technological cooperation between Russian and American businesses.  It will focus on biotechnology, the pharmaceutical industry, medical equipment, life sciences, alternative energy, nanotechnology, the chemical industry, information technology, technology in education, and entrepreneurship.  RANIT is supported by nearly 30 leading American and Russian business and governmental organizations, including the administrations of the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and Mid-Atlantic regional organizations focusing on international business, technology, innovations, and entrepreneurship. Russian delegations that will take part in the event will consist of representatives from the foremost Russian companies in innovation technology and related industries as well as senior federal and regional government officials.   The first part of the 18th Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week will take place in Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and the Mid-Atlantic Region from September 23-30, 2013.  Key Russian-American RANIT events will include Russian-American Innovation Technology, University Research & Commercialization Conference at the University City Science Center in Philadelphia on September 27 and Russian-American Life Sciences Innovation Conference in Philadelphia on September 30. Russian-American Innovation Technology, University Research & Commercialization Conference will feature discussions on new technology and university-related commercialization.  The event will begin with remarks on developing innovation systems in various countries.  A multi-country panel will discuss the current connection between university research commercialization and entrepreneurship in Russia, Israel, and the United States.
