The Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council (MARBC) would like to cordially invite you to the Russian-American Innovation Technology Roundtable and Closing Ceremony which will take place on November 21, 2013 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Mayor’s Reception Room at Philadelphia City Hall. Closing Ceremony is the final event for the 18th Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT).

The 18th Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT) started off from September 23-27. The final part of RANIT continues from November 13-22, 2013. The 18th RANIT marks the 10th anniversary of RANIT and includes discussions with business leaders, policymakers, financiers, and technology corporations to promote technological cooperation between Russian and American businesses. RANIT programs and activities are designed to help foster dialogue and cooperation and bring together participants from the private and public sectors as well as academia to cooperate and create partnerships for success. Despite some ups and downs in bilateral relations, Russia and the United States have always sought mutual advantage through the discussion and collaboration in the area of scientific research and progress to improve the lives of people worldwide. RANIT are supported by nearly 30 leading American and Russian business and governmental organizations, including the administrations of the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and Mid-Atlantic regional organizations focusing on international business, technology, innovations, and entrepreneurship. Russian delegations that are taking part in these events will consist of more than 50 senior executives and representatives from the foremost Russian companies and educational institutions in innovation technology and related industries.

The first part of the 18th Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT) took place in Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and the Mid-Atlantic Region from September 23-27, 2013.  The Russian-American Innovation Technology, University Research & Commercialization Conference featured discussions on new technology and university-related commercialization.  Other RANIT events included international panels at the AdvaMed 2013 Conference and the Association of University Research Parks (AURP) 2013 International Conference “Inventing the Future”. 

The final part of the 18th Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week will take place from November 13-22, 2013. Key Russian-American RANIT events will include Russian-American Innovation Technology Roundtable and Closing Ceremony in Philadelphia City Hall on November 21. A multi-country panel will discuss the developing innovation systems and entrepreneurship in Russia, Israel, and the United States. The 18th RANIT also featured the presentation of the story of the first Russian company with an office at the University City Science Center, the biggest and oldest urban technology park in the United States. Other RANIT programs will include additional Russian-American activities in conjunction with the Global Entrepreneurship Week.
